About WebInk
WebInk helps you capture the readable content of any web page and turn it into structured Markdown you can paste into notes, docs, or AI assistants.
The product centers on a Chrome extension that opens from the side panel on the page you are reading. It extracts the main article, converts HTML to Markdown with sensible defaults, supports custom templates, optional table-of- contents navigation, translation, and one-click send workflows for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar tools. Alongside the extension, webink.app hosts web-based tools and documentation for developers who want the same conversion outside the browser.
WebInk is built for researchers, writers, students, and anyone who saves articles for later analysis. If you routinely copy long blog posts into LLMs, archive reading lists in Obsidian or Notion, or need consistent Markdown from messy publisher HTML, WebInk is designed to reduce cleanup time and keep headings, links, and code blocks intact.
The project is maintained as a focused indie product with thousands of active extension users and a strong rating on the Chrome Web Store. We improve conversion quality, site compatibility, and AI handoff features based on real feedback from people who clip the web every day.
